My Story

I came from a solid working-class family, where I taught myself to program at the tender age of 10 on our family’s TRS-80 Model I computer. However, early emancipation made pursuing education and finding suitable jobs a challenging ordeal. Problem-solving was ingrained in my soul and every chance I had to do so made me feel so incredibly alive. But, even though I’ve been doing what I love, the breakneck pace of one tech startup after another led to burnout. Despite repeatedly being promoted to leadership roles, I often felt like an imposter in those positions. My journey from the bottom, where I had to constantly prove I was worthy of each opportunity to code for cash, left me with a persistent feeling of undeserving.

I grappled with the internal challenge of wanting to make a meaningful impact on businesses and individuals but not knowing how to achieve it effectively.

Engineering teams were always at the mercy of other departments. Engineers promoted to leadership seldom possessed the charisma or leadership skills to ensure their teams were effectively represented across the organization or in the boardroom.

During my tenure at a boutique consulting firm, I had a moment of realization that traditional methods were often inadequate for addressing the dynamic challenges faced by businesses. This event marked the beginning of my transformational journey.

The spark that ignited my transformation was witnessing companies on the brink of failure due to their inability to adapt to changing circumstances. I recognized the need for a new approach, one that would value evolution over revolution.

Working at a consultancy to help shape operational processes for them and their clients, I realized that this was my true calling. Drawing inspiration from thought leaders in agile methodologies and process optimization, I recognized that, in all of my roles, I had always been doing exactly this. My unique process of process decomposition combined with automation allowed me to create enduring change that empowers and allows founders, investors and our people to realize their potential by doing what they love.

This resulted in the development of my philosophy, “Agile Everywhere,” and the creation of Organizational Yoga™. These concepts have not only revolutionized my approach to consulting but have also had a profound impact on businesses I’ve consulted. My commitment to this philosophy led to the establishment of ProcessAgilist.com, a platform dedicated to promoting Agility as a way of life for businesses.
